Job Description:
Academics
• Develop and implement Khmer language curriculum and instructional materials.
• Planning and organize Khmer language classes, workshops, and events.
• Assess the proficiency levels of students and designing appropriate learning plans.
• Provide guidance and support to Khmer language instructors.
• Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the Khmer language program.
• Collaborate with other departments or organizations to promote Khmer language learning and cultural activities.
• Keep up-to-date with developments in Khmer language teaching methodologies and resources.
• Provide support for student testing, assessment, placement, and induction as directed by the Director of Studies.
• Address student and group leader inquiries on academic matters, and handle student issues and emergencies as they arise.
• Offer regular support to teachers, providing assistance in implementing and maintaining academic procedures and records such as observations, teacher opinion surveys, and the buddy system.
• Organize and contribute to teacher development sessions when required to enhance their professional growth.
• Carry out lesson observations and provide oral and written feedback to teachers, forwarding feedback documentation to the deputy campus director.
• Offer regular support to teachers, providing assistance in implementing and maintaining academic procedures and records such as observations, teacher opinion surveys, and the buddy system.
• Organize and contribute to teacher development sessions when required to enhance their professional growth.
• Carry out lesson observations and provide oral and written feedback to teachers, forwarding feedback documentation to the deputy campus director.
• Provide support for exam preparation classes to all teachers.
• Teach classes as required to meet operational demands, such as teacher absences or changes in student numbers.
• Organize and conduct group leader meetings and workshops upon request, covering topics such as an overview of the Khmer academic program, refreshing teaching methodologies, or language classes.
• Adhere to the Aii dress code, maintaining a professional appearance at all times.
Regular/Daily Tasks:
• Khmer Language Curriculum
- New syllabus design
- Progress test design and implementation
- New final examination design and implementation
- Monitoring and developing Khmer Language Curriculum
• Interview applicants
- Check curriculum vitae of applicants for teaching posts
- Check the written test of the applicants
• New Teacher and Observation
- New teachers will be oriented about the basic rules and regulations of the school by the Head of Khmer Language
- Head of Khmer Language has to explain the observation criteria to the new teachers before observing them
- New teachers will be observed by the Head within the first 2 weeks of the term
- The Head have to meet the new teacher for the feedback
• Sponsorship Program
- Spot check if the teachers of the CAs are updated regularly
- Find ways on how to make the program effective
• Professional Development
- Teaching
- Counseling
• Coordinate in & out extra-curricular activities for students and teachers
- Verbal and Written reports
- Create an exact timeline to maintain the consistency of the reports
• School policy
- Familiarize with all school policies
- Help develop and strengthen school policies
- Create policies on Khmer Language Program
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Khmer Language or Khmer Literature or Education, or a related field
• Preferably Master’s Degree in Khmer Language, French Studies or a related field
• At least 2 years of management experience in education or related fields
• Excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to use initiative
• Ability to patiently work with people from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, religious views
• Ability to calmly manage and prioritize multiple tasks
• An approachable and friendly spirit, easy to smile, and a can-do attitude
• Excellent computer skills with the MS Office Suite and proficiency with social media
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in Khmer
• Strong administrative and organizational skills.
