Job Description:

Academics:
1. Assist in the curriculum and syllabus review, overhaul and development
2. Assist in the organization of student testing and placement
3. Support in guiding newly qualified teachers in preparing lessons
4. Implement and maintain academic procedures and records such as observations, teacher opinion survey, buddy system and others
5. Effectively manage and organize the materials, resources, examinations and assessments as provided by Aii
6. Deal with student and group leader enquiries and issues on academic matters
7. Design and ensure the supervision and discipline of students
8. Carry out lesson observations and provide oral and written feedback to teachers; forward feedback documentation to the Deputy Campus Director
9. Provide support to teachers in their teaching, classroom management, and assessments to students
10. Work to ensure the academic and recreational aspects of the program are integrated
11. Teach as required to meet operational demands e.g. teacher absence, increased/decreased student numbers
12. Dress appropriately at all times, in line with the Aii dress code
13. Submit reports, follow-up, and information regarding any academic related tasks
14. Assist in development of special needs curriculum and training of management and teachers

Management:
1. Support the Director of Studies and other managers at the center in the overall management of the center 
2. Maintain accurate staff records 
3. Ensure that the school committee meets the desired standards 
4. Assist the school committee in the set-up of the center and ensure all resources are kept properly
5. Organize meetings, trainings and workshops on request. These might include an overview to the Aii academic program, current teaching methodology refreshers or language classes.

• QSkills Online (Teacher and student accounts)
• Sponsorship Program
• Online Continuous Assessment- the current forms, tracking system and procedures
• Professional Development
• Curriculum updates and development
• Teacher Website 
• Teacher Handbook 
• Annual Excellence in Teaching Award
• Checking and maintaining one CSR especially in terms of academics
• Coordinate in and out extra-curricular activities for students and teachers
• Verbal and Written reports
• Create and monitor school policies
• Other assigned tasks or projects that are relevant to academics.

LIASES WITH:
1) Director of Studies
2) All Department Heads and Executives 
3) Director, Managers and Senior Officers, and Officer in all locations

ACCOUNTABILITY:
This role will be accountable to the Chief Human Resource and Operation Officer directly with good liaison and collaboration with executives and senior management.

 

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Education or related field
• Management experience in education or any related fields
• • Excellent problem-solving skills, initiative and ability to multi-task 
• Ability to patiently work with people from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, religious views
• An approachable and friendly spirit with a can-do attitude
• Excellent computer skills with the MS Office Suite, Google Apps and proficient with Social Media
• Ability to understand, create and adhere to budgets to ensure financial sustainability and resource allocation
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in Chinese
• Strong administrative, organizational, interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills
