Job Description

Academics:
• Assist in the organization of student testing and placement.
• Support in guiding newly qualified teachers in preparing lessons.
• Implement and maintain academic procedures and records such as observations, teacher opinion survey, buddy system and others.
• Effectively manage and organize the materials, resources, examinations and assessments as provided by AIS.
• Design and ensure the supervision and discipline of students in ESL program.
• Carry out lesson observations and provide oral and written feedback to teachers; forward feedback documentation to the Head ESL and Head Principal.
• Provide support to teachers in their teaching, classroom management, and assessments to students
• Work to ensure the academic and recreational aspects of the program are integrated
• Dress appropriately at all times, in line with the AIS dress code
• Submit reports, follow-up, and information regarding any academic related tasks
• Create and develop ESL curriculum become more varieties and modern.
• Communicate with outside communities such as new program or universities, local and international and coordinate with event planer to conduct events, workshops, training and so on.

Management:
• Maintain accurate staff records
• Ensure that the school committee meets the desired standards
• Assist the school committee in the set-up of the center and ensure all resources are kept properly
• Organize meetings, trainings and workshops on request. These might include an overview to the AIS academic program, current teaching methodology refreshers or language classes.

Regular/daily tasks:
The following regular tasks will be divided and assigned by the Director of Studies.

• Junior High and High school program
• New Teacher and Observation

• Teacher Observation Feedback
• Teacher Opinion Survey
• Peer to peer assessment
• Sponsorship Program
• Online Continuous Assessment- the current forms, tracking system and procedures
• Professional Development
• Curriculum updates and development
• Teacher Website
• Teacher Handbook
• Annual Excellence in Teaching Award- The current process is with Johnny
• Checking and maintaining one CSR especially in terms of academics
• Coordinate in and out extra-curricular activities for students and teachers
• Verbal and Written reports
• Create and monitor school policies
• Other assigned tasks or projects that are relevant to academics.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Education or related field
• Management experience in education or any related fields
• Excellent computer skills with the MS Office Suite, Google Apps and proficient with Social Media
• Excellent problem-solving skills, initiative and ability to multi-task
• Ability to patiently work with people from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, religious views
• An approachable and friendly spirit, easy to smile and a can-do attitude
• Ability to understand and keep within a budget
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English
• Strong administrative, organizational, interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills
