Job Description

– Propose and review the curriculum, learning outcomes and syllabus.
– Organize student testing and placement.
– Be proactive in offering support to teachers in their teaching, classroom management, and assessments to students.
– Support Principal, Assistant Principal in charge, Head Deputy Head ESL program in guiding newly qualified teachers in preparing lessons.
– Implement and maintain academic procedures and records such as observations, teacher opinion survey, buddy system and others.
– Effectively manage materials and resources as provided by AIS.
– Lead, create, edit and cooperate with the examination committee of all types in accordance with the regular annual plan.
– Deal with student and teacher enquiries on academic matters.
– Lead and ensure the quality and effectiveness of student counseling and discipline.
– Lead and carry out lesson observations and provide oral and written feedback to teachers; forward feedback documentation to the Principal in charge or Head Principal.
– Work to ensure the academic and recreational aspects of the program are integrated.
– Dress appropriately at all times, in line with the AIS dress code.
– Monitor and track the academic processes and report it to Vice President for Academic affairs for internal audit.
– Lead on preparing annual plan for academic affair and schedule for internal inspection.
– Propose budget for materials, equipment and facilities and course it to the right channels to process.

Management

– Empower and ensure that the school committee meets the desired standards.
– Maintain accurate staff records.
– Assist the school committee in the set-up of the center and ensure all resources are kept properly.
– Organize meetings, trainings and workshops on request. These might include an overview to the AIS academic program, current teaching methodology refreshers and develop the new program.

Job requirements

– Master degree in Education or related field.
– 3+ years of management experiences in education and related fields.
– Excellent problem-solving skills, initiative and ability to multi-task.
– Ability to patiently work with people from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, religious views.
– An approachable and friendly spirit, easy to smile and a can-do attitude.
– Excellent computer skills with the MS Office Suite, Google Apps and proficient with Social Media.
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English.
– Strong administrative, organizational, interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.
