Job Description:

• Develop and execute the business plan to expand the existing business of the Intercon bookstore.
• Review daily and monthly sales, profit and loss statement and come up with strategic resolutions based on the actual performance and issues. 
• Develop  and execute business strategies and identify opportunities to drive sales, increase customer satisfaction, and expand store traffic.
• Maintain outstanding visual merchandising standards, ensure availability of merchandise, maintain appropriate inventories, and complete projects within a timeline.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and sales through effective scheduling, talent acquisition, training, and development of store team members.
• Analyze sales figures, interpret trends, and forecast future sales to manage all controllable costs and keep operations profitable.
• Ensure standards for quality, customer service, and health and safety are met by providing a safe and clean store environment and implementing loss prevention measures.
• Oversee and manage daily operations of Intercon Bookstores of all Campuses and central warehouse and ensure the operations are maintained with high effectiveness.
• Develop, implement and review operational policies and procedures of the operations of Intercon Bookstore.
• Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOP) for Intercon Bookstore.
• Conduct SOP training and ensure staff follows standard operating procedures for all operational functions.
• Work with both Aii Language Center (Aii) and American Intercon School (AIS) to make sure that all school supplies are available and on time for students.
• Keep track of staffing requirements, hire and train new talents as needed to correspond with specific duties and skill sets.
• Plan, schedule, and review workload and manpower to make sure targets are being met on a cost-effective basis.
• Communicate customer issues with staff and develop ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints.
• Prepare a budget plan and monitor expenses according to the allocated budget.
• Responsible for stock control from ordering, shipping, distribution to stores and storing at a warehouse.
• Other related tasks assigned by the Top Management.

 

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Business Administration or relevant field. 
• At least 6 years’ supervisory experience in a retail setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills to manage campus relationships and corporate initiatives while achieving customer sales and service goals.
• Experience in doing a business plan.
• Knowledge in bookstore set up business. 
• Good at sales and marketing skills
• Able to read profit and loss statement.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills needed.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Exceptional leadership and management skills.
• High moral character and a good attendance record
• Strong critical thinking ability
• Demonstrates professional tact and diplomacy
• Demonstrates enthusiasm and a sincere desire to aid
• High level of professional and ethical behavior 
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
